Take your babies to church. Introduce them to Jesus. Let them ask questions about Him. Teach them to pray (talk to Jesus) about anything. Don’t discourage them by telling them they can’t pray for that. Yes, they can! Jesus wants to hear everything from you! Pray with them. Let them see and hear you pray. This world is a terrible place sometimes. Do you want your babies growing up in a world where they have no peace, no hope, no joy? Only Jesus can bring those things to them and you. Nothing else brings that. Either they will trust Jesus OR trust the world! Which do you prefer for them and you? Jesus loves you, even if you don’t know him AND even if you don’t want Him. You are His creation, His masterpiece. He loves you no matter what! It’s okay to love Him back!
Ways to Pray:
- Just start talking to Him about anything. For example: Dear Jesus, I need, I want, I am_______________________. Amen
- Write your prayers down in a journal and read them out loud. (that’s what I do) Reread them everyday and add more when you need to.
- Have children draw about things they want to ask or talk to Jesus about, then hang up to see it everyday.
Your child’s future starts with you. Children learn nothing without the help of an adult throughout their life. Let what they learn strengthen their life and that starts with knowing and talking to Jesus.
