“Me” Time

Taking time for yourself is not selfish. 5, 10, 30 mins, hours or days is mental health. Besides food and movement, you need mental cleansing. It could be praying and seeking God. It could be napping. It could be reading. It could be taking a day trip or a vacation. Hide yourself from your kids/family for 10 mins everyday. Tell them you need some “Me” time when you get home. Go into a room, close your eyes, let go of your work day. If you workout before coming home, use that time. If your kids are babies, take care of them first. While in the kitchen cooking dinner, turn up the music and DANCE! Just find time to unwind from a stressful day and make your home time memorable.
