Honesty and Mindset

It’s important to be honest with yourself when you are in diet recovery. And if i’m being honest, this week after my awesome trip was hard. My workouts were easy because they are consistent and I look forward to them. Especially when I can walk outside instead of on the treadmill.

But with no meal planning, it was hard. I ate, I cooked each day and I didn’t eat as well as I would have IF i had planned my meals as usual. I struggled with being hungry during the day when I had meetings to attend and forgot or couldn’t have a snack. I am trying to eat 6 small meals a day. This has been, so far, the best way for me to eat right now. I eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner and a snack. Lots of protein, fruits, veggies and some carbs. It seems to keep me full.

My meal plans have changed over the years and I know what my body can handle because I have learned to listen to it. I am only successful because of DFIT Institute for Transformation, http://www.dfittransformation.com. I have been taught well. But I am still learning and need my coach. You probably need him, too. Let’s hope for a better week next week! Fingers crossed!
