How awesome to feel the spirit of God cover me when I am listening to a worship song driving home. Man, it felt so good. I thought, Lord, now you know I can’t take my hands off this wheel, but you can saturate me in your goodness right now.
It reminded me of something I read this morning during my devotional time. It said, “Remember that your relationship with Me is saturated with grace. Therefore, nothing that you do or don’t do can separate you from My Presence.” (Jesus Calling, January 14)
I rushed through my devotion this morning. I didn’t have time to completely allow God to fill me like I usually do. But this afternoon, He reminded me that even if I don’t praise him like I should or thank Him like I should or talk to Him like I should, He still covers me with His spirit no matter where I am because I’m His child. And He loves me. (smile inserted)
Romans 8:38-39 NIV
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
