Today was not a good day for me! I have been busy all day! Out and about! I got some depressing news about a mistake I make a lot and wasn’t feeling my normal encouraging self. Facebook is my favorite place to be, but not today! I didn’t feel like commenting, liking or even sharing anything with anyone.
After coming home and sitting down, thinking about how to encourage myself, I got on facebook and started sharing and liking and commenting on friend’s posts. Then I hear a voice of negativity in my head, saying” how can you say those things or share those things with other people when you are not even good enough to fix your own mistakes, you are so worthless to God, he can’t love you, you’ll never get it right! It was the devil, pure evil! I’ve heard him before and crushed him under my feet and today I did the same thing. In Colossians 1:13, it says For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin. So folks, I am redeemed and forgiven by God who loves me and would be born to die for me and give me new life.
Being a Christian is not being perfect, but it is trying to be like Christ. As I fall and get up once again, my Heavenly Father will be there to pick me up, brush me off and help me make it right! For those reading this who do not have a relationship with God, he loves you and wants to be in your life whatever is missing he can be that for you! Trust him, ask him to be in your heart, believe it and he will. Change is hard, but he will be there with open arms and for sure, a tissue. Life will never be easy, but take comfort in that fact that with God in your life you will never have worries: he carries all your worries, when you’re weak: he gives you strength, when your sick: he can heal you, when your poor: he can give you an abundance, and when you are lonely: he gives you his love. Whatever you want to change about yourself in this new year, God wants to be first! He can help you change, make it right and live without worries. Trust and believe in him! I’m sure glad I did!
