Teachers Strong Amid School Closings

If you know me, you know me as strong, courageous, brave and unstoppable. But today, my emotions have taken over to reveal a side no one sees, but God. My heart is broken for my students and their parents where school is a solace, a community, a safe place. My mouth is silent and muffled for the colleague relationships that are built on the community of every school, love of every student and the knowing that everyone makes a difference. My mind is racing from fear, the future and the present. Unknowns, new procedures, from community to social distancing, confusion, no explanations and time.
We LOVE your children, our children (our students). Every TEACHER LOVES their students! We miss seeing them, talking to them, hugging them, encouraging them, watching them grow up, succeeding, learning, living, making friends, solving problems, sharing and encouraging others.
As this year ends, those who we taught will remember being loved and cared for in very extraordinary ways. Remote or not, school will continue, instruction will be given and LOVE will carry us into the next year!
LOVE NEVER FAILS! And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE!
