Turning 50 was scary, but awesome! I went in fearless and bold! Eyes w i d e OPEN! I thought getting older would make me feel older, but it didn’t. I mean 50 years, ½ a century, closer to death? That’s some scary stuff.
But this year was going to be different, I was going to be different! I made some great new close, best friend friendships, I became healthier and younger looking. I paid closer attention to things that really matter, like time, memories and people. And my favorite was, I went on adventures. I love adventures.
This year, I will continue these new traditions with the same goals in mind, adding more adventures with my new close best friends and my family. Time isn’t always on our side, so when we have opportunities to engage in activities that allow us to laugh, cry, hug, look at the stars, and talk, we should do so with no expectations and no timeframe.
I want to make as many memories and take as many pictures and go on as many adventures as possible. Life is to be lived doing the things we love with the people who will put up with us the most. ( and I mean that in the nicest way)
So Happy 51st Birthday to Me! May all of my dreams come true! ( I do believe in fairy tales)
