When God speaks, we should listen. I said should which means I didn’t at first. I’m a writer! Wow, that was hard to say. I’m a writer because that is who God’s wants and needs me to be for him. I’m a children’s book author, I write quotes and blogs. God places things on my heart to say and I write them right away and share them or I wait.
I want to do God’s will; whatever he wants me to do. Sometimes that’s really hard for me, I procrastinate. I put it off for another day, week, or month. But I really want to share God’s word with others and help them to see how important it is for him to be in their lives. How much easier life gets when we have God to carry our burdens, troubles and storms. I want to be a messenger for God.
It is our responsibility as Christ-followers to tell others about Jesus. Matthew 28:18-20 says, Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Who can be a witness? Those who are following Christ! Mark 2:14-15, 17 says, As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth, “Follow me”, Jesus told him and Levi got up and followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Do not assume religious know God! Religion is not Relationship with God! Acts 17:22 says, Paul then stood up I the meeting of the Areopagus and said: Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with the inscription: To An Unknown God. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.
What is the church’s responsibility? 2 Timothy 4:1-2 says, In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—– with great patience and careful instruction.
A transformed life is the best witness! Philippians 2:14-16a says, Do everything without complaining or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like the stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life.
I am ready to meet my Jesus in heaven. To spend days walking together, singing and worshiping, but my greatest joy is to see YOU there with me and sharing this wonderful time together. Please let Jesus take over your life! He is waiting and has been waiting this whole time! Your whole life!
Let me pray with you:
Dear Jesus, I need you so much in my life. Please come into my life and change it to what you want it to be. Please forgive me of my sins, all of them. I believe you died on the cross to save me from my sins that would send me to Hell. I know you loved me so much to do that for me and I thank you for that. Thank you for coming to live inside me and be my savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
